Having spent nearly 3 months coordinating documentation and criteria, in December 2021, the World Record Union (WorldKings) officially decided to establish a World Record for Vietnam's Robusta coffee.
In order to solidify, affirm, and elevate the position of Vietnam's Robusta coffee beans, TNI King Coffee collaborated with the Vietnam Record Institute and proceeded through the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) to complete the procedures for nominating the World Record to the World Record Union (WorldKings) since September 2021. This was also part of the journey to promote Vietnam's finest products globally that VietKings has been implementing over the years.
VietKings and KingCoffee worked together to establish and finalize the nomination dossier sent to the World Record Union - WorldKings with the criteria for Vietnam: the country producing and exporting Robusta coffee to the largest global market along with the most diverse and unique art of blending, brewing, and coffee appreciation culture for Robusta coffee worldwide

Following nearly three months of efforts to finalize the dossier and criteria, in December 2021, the World Record Union (WorldKings) officially decided to establish a World Record for Vietnam's Robusta coffee. However, due to the complex pandemic situation, WorldKings delegated the Vietnam National Record Association's leadership to present the recognition in Vietnam to King Coffee, the entity that collaborated in nominating the record based on VietKings' proposal. This was aimed at allowing King Coffee to promote the World Record's image for Vietnam at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai, UAE.
On December 22, 2021, at the King Coffee Office (161 Vo Van Tan, Ward Vo Thi Sau, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), the event announcing and receiving the World Record for Vietnam's Robusta coffee took place.

Regarding this record, WorldKings stated that currently, Brazil and Vietnam are the two countries accounting for the majority of the world's coffee production. These are also the two major suppliers of the world's primary coffee types, including Arabica and Robusta. In terms of the total production and export volume of both Arabica and Robusta coffee, Brazil is currently leading the world. However, specifically for Robusta, Vietnam's Robusta coffee production is higher than Brazil's. Statistics for the 2020-2021 coffee season show that Vietnam produced 1,680 thousand tons across 630 thousand hectares, while Brazil produced 1,212 thousand tons across 410 thousand hectares, indicating that Vietnam is the largest exporter of Robusta coffee in the world coffee market. With advantages in natural conditions, particularly soil fertility, Vietnam's average coffee production per hectare is currently the highest in the world at 2.8 tons/ha, surpassing even the leading powerhouse, Brazil, according to data from the US Department of Agriculture in 2020.
Coffea Canephora is the scientific name for Robusta coffee. In Vietnam, Robusta coffee is also known as 'cà phê vối.' It's a type of coffee known for its high caffeine content, with beans that are rounder and smaller compared to Arabica
Beyond its role in production and export, coffee in Vietnam is not just a beverage; it's considered a cultural symbol. Each region has its own unique brewing method. There's a growing creativity in the art of blending Vietnamese Robusta coffee to create aromatic, appealing, and innovative coffee concoctions. These beverages have captivated many food enthusiasts and consistently secured spots on world-renowned rankings by reputable platforms. Throughout history, the Vietnamese people have continuously learned, explored, and innovated various drinks and dishes using Robusta coffee beans, crafting new, distinctive, and enticing flavors appreciated globally due to the meticulous and refined blending and brewing techniques.
Iced milk coffee is considered the 'soul' of Vietnamese coffee. The classic Vietnamese-style coffee cup is widely popular across the globe, yet it holds a particularly delightful taste when consumed in Vietnam. Roasted and brewed slowly, drop by drop through the traditional Vietnamese coffee filter, then blended with sweetened condensed milk and ice, it brings forth a robust, entirely novel flavor
It can be said that not only is Vietnam currently leading in the production and export of Robusta coffee, but all these values also contribute to creating a 'Coffee Culture' from the Robusta coffee beans of the country and its people. It forms a culture with numerous heritage values that are distinctive, diverse, and one-of-a-kind in the world

WorldKings hopes that the Vietnam Record Organization (VietKings) - the Vietnam Record Institute and King Coffee will effectively use this record's image to promote Vietnam's Robusta coffee in the Journey of Promoting Vietnam's Finest Products to the World.
Previously, in 2020, VietKings successfully nominated five World Records for cuisine and specialties to the World Record Union, including:

This is a tremendous source of pride for the nominating entities and every Vietnamese citizen. With this recognition from WorldKings, the position of Vietnam's Robusta coffee is expected to reach new heights in the global coffee market, introducing consumers worldwide to the excellent coffee from Vietnam, particularly Robusta
