(CPV) – At the recent 96th China Food & Drinks Fair (Chengdu, China), Ms. Le Hoang Diep Thao, CEO of TNI Corporation, said that there is a great potential for Vietnamese coffee to conquer Chinese consumers as they are fond of enjoying King Coffee 3in1, King Coffee Groumet Blend, and King Coffee Inspire Blend.
This May, King Coffee with unique tastes from the Southeast Asia will officially be ready at China-based Carrefour supermarket to serve increasing demand from local people. Currently, King Coffee has been exported to major markets like the US, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, and Australia.
Vietnamese coffee set to pocket USD1 billion from Chinese customers
According to statistics from the Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the worldwide market share of instant coffee from Vietnam has sharply increased from 1.8% to around 9.1% in the last few months. By 2020, the nation targets to produce at least 25% of coffee kernel output into ready-to-drink products, in which instant coffee is to reach 250,000 tons per year, and achieve around 350,000 tons per year in 2030.
China mainly consumes instant coffee, accounting for 99% of the retail turnover in volume and 98% in value. TNI Corporation set to pocket USD1 billion in revenue from the Chinese market in the near future.
Apart from mainland China, King Coffee (one of Asia’s leading instant coffees for flavour and purity) also eyes Hong Kong and Taiwanese markets, bringing more aromatic and sweet-smelling products to coffee lovers. Historically, Vietnam is one of the most important countries involved in coffee cultivation, and today is the world’s second largest producer of coffee (second to Brazil), a fact that comes as a surprise to most coffee consumers.
